Amasar, CelerOps and Di Amalfi win 2023 edition of the Rising Entrepreneurs Program accelerator

The Bravo Family Foundation program will open applications on October 1 for its next training round.

Three innovative local startups, Amasar, CelerOps and Pastas Di Amalfi, received cash awards for their outstanding participation in the Bravo Family Foundation’s (BFF) Rising Entrepreneurs Program (REP) business accelerator.

In the special award category, STREAM Technologies and CareHelpers were recognized for the social impact of their services, while Tale Plus was honored for its export activity.

The amounts of the awards were not disclosed.

The award ceremony took place on Thursday, September 14, with the participation of BFF co-founder and chairman of the board of directors, Orlando Bravo, along with executives associated with Thoma Bravo and participants from previous editions of the program.

In the 2023 edition, nearly 200 startup applications were received and 13 were selected. Over the past months, the entrepreneurs participated in workshops and mentorship sessions from top-level experts that will serve them in their development and growth.

The participating companies were Academia Claridad Financiera (financial education); Arrecife (beachwear); CareHelpers (platform for coordinating elder care services); TerraFirma (digital platform for risk visualization and management); Stream Technologies (STEM education for youth); Equal Love (genderless personal care products); Amasar (breadfruit-based foods); Di Amalfi (fresh pasta); Buzzy (connecting freelancers with businesses); Tale + (multilingual speech therapy services); CelerOps (business process reengineering and automation); Job Genie (AI-powered job search); and Maranta Power (beauty products for curly hair).

The REP is a business acceleration initiative aimed at promoting the growth of startups with high potential. Based on the pillars of knowledge, access and capital, the program supports participating startups in structuring their businesses with a profitable growth perspective in the local market, the U.S., and internationally.

Bravo also took the opportunity to announce the call for applications for the fifth edition of REP in 2024, with the next round of applications opening on October 1, 2023.
