The Rising Entrepreneurs Program supports teams of entrepreneurs who have innovative approaches and solutions in emerging and traditional industries through the three pillars:

You are a committed individual who consistently attends and engages in the lessons, demonstrating dedication to the program.
You have developed expertise that has led to a successful product or service you are currently ready to scale sales.
You have some solid business skills, or you and other team members are committed to learning how to run a successful business.

The Rising Entrepreneurs Program is deployed through different stages, guiding participants step by step through their entrepreneurial journey:
Program timeline
February → Onboarding & Kick Start
March – May → Lessons in Mayagüez (10 weeks in person)
May – August → REP Scale (Hybrid experience)
This journey combines in-person intensity with hybrid flexibility, making Mayagüez the place where ideas spark, grow, and scale.
What We Look for In the Team
- Features an existing core team of at least two founders dedicated full-time to the venture.
- Skillset to be able to execute the business model.
- One of the founders must be of Puerto Rican heritage and living on the island.
- Be purpose-driven to create a positive social impact through business.
- Bilingual: Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
What we look for in the business
- Innovative product or service that brings a fresh, highly differentiated approach to the market.
- A business and revenue model that is feasible.
- A reasonable business case for scaling locally and abroad.
- Have distinct sales revenues from the product/service to be supported by the REP.
- Have a P&L for the past year or can develop a proforma P&L.
- 3 to 5 years in operation for mobile applications, E-Commerce, software as a service, or technology-based businesses.
- Up to 7 years in operation for physical product businesses such as manufacturing, consumer product goods, and agro processing, among others.
